"The Passer Through Walls," 1943

"Le Passe-muraille," translating to "the passer through walls," originates from France and narrates the tale of a man who realizes he can walk through walls.

Upon quitting his job, the man starts to misuse his ability, resorting to theft and seduction.

His journey eventually leads him to become trapped within a wall.

The sculpture depicted above portrays the man stuck in the Paris catacombs, crafted by trespassers as a jest.
